Hi Kaihui Chen (陳凱惠), thank you for asking (by email on 23 June 2021) if there is a problem with Chang Jung University translation file number 1090016958.  Yes, there's a problem and it's causing quite a lot of trouble. 

I've had a chance to read some of the intentions of Chang Jung Christian University (CJCU, 長榮大學, "Chang Da").  The school sounds wonderful!  I hope the university and I can work together on a larger project.  I'll start by describing the project, and extending a warm welcome to President of the school Alex Lee (李泳龍).

I'll write only in English, since Chang University has a high proficiency in English.

This story, these pages, are part of a much larger story.  I'll begin with generally catch-up.

The story began several years ago in Canada, with a plan to unite the churches. 

There is a distinct need to unite the churches because the process of uniting, of thinking more alike, is exactly the natural process.  Think about it like this: in Heaven where all is eternally whole, united and one, can anyone possibly not think like the other?

There cannot be true sustainable peace while Christian organizations continue to compete with each other over membership numbers and donation receipts.  Competition occurs much less in Taiwan than in North America, but the idea of unity is the same in both places. 

It's easy to imagine ulterior motives of this story, but there really aren't any.  I'm principal author, and I work always on behalf of our common spirit, what your school might call The Holy Spirit.

I guess, also, not many people really understand that the Holy Spirit is actually a real and thinking and sentient entity.  Everyone always shares the same united eternal mind, and the Holy Spirit is more-or-less the real-time glue within that mind, the driving force gently helping each of us to remember the good things: forgiveness, helping each other, kindness, harmlessness, etc.

Whatever any two people can always agree to do, that's what the Holy Spirit would do.  The bible says that as well, when it says "where two people agree, heaven is in their midst" (Matt 18:19-20).  The idea is simply the "always" part.  If everyone can "always" agree to do it, then its part of an eternal truth, and the Spirit IS the eternal truth.

Since God is always shared, no one actually ever needs to use the word "God" in their entire lifetime.  That's what "always shared" means! 

It means we, people in general, should just focus on working together, and building a sustainable environment on earth, together.  To focus on actions and doing, instead of words and talking.

Of course, no one is going to believe that one man can really unite the churches.  But we had to start somewhere.  And so we did.

Rene literally walked up to a police officer, in Barrie, Ontario, Canada, on 3 Sept 2012 and asked the police officer to arrest Rene.  When the police officer (Sergeant Douglas Henderson) asked Rene "Why do you want to be arrested?"  Rene was honest.  Rene said "to unite the churches".

Basically, Rene began as an experiment.  He was a teacher at a college in Canada at the time, and studying the book A Course In Miracles.  He didn't just want to believe the book.  He wanted to really understand the book.  And understanding comes from demonstrating an idea as true.

Rene decided that, if The Holy Spirit was really real, then it ought to be able to fix all of Rene's problems. 

Since the idea of never having to worry (i.e. permanent Heavenly awareness) appealed to Rene, Rene pledged himself TO The Holy Spirit, completely.  And that's when really weird things began, starting with the direct message to walk up to a police officer and ask to be arrested.

Rene didn't judge the message he thought he was getting from the Holy Spirit.  Actually, he laughed at it.  I mean, "What kind of a loving spirit tells a man to go and ask to be arrested, if he did nothing wrong?"

Well, that was the thing.  The Holy Spirit needed to be able to demonstrate itself in a way that wouldn't bring harm to others, and the only way to really do that was to become a defendant in court of law.  It's really the exact thing Jesus did, on this time, no physical death was required.

And of course the police officer didn't believe, much less understand, what Rene was saying.  He drove Rene to a hospital, and that was that.  Rene wasn't allowed to return home, and didn't receive a criminal trial.  Instead, Rene was accused of crimes, declared severely mentally ill, forcibly medicated, and is still accused of crimes in Canada, but he wasn't allowed to have a criminal trial to determine whether or not he actually did what a male church Minister and a female church Treasurer claimed that Rene did.

They claimed all sorts of things.  The allegations aren't important.  What's important is the idea that people can be arrested and accused of crimes in Canada, and then never receive a criminal trial.  Doctors have become the judge-and-jury of the law.

Really, are all things possible with God, or not? 

BECAUSE RIGHT NOW WE HAVE A PROBLEM. 

Rene ended up fleeing to Taiwan from the Canadian medical profession on grounds of his own sanity.  There was just no talking sense to doctors in Canada about the fact that everyone really only shares one same eternal mind.  In eternity, everything is always united and perfectly singular.

Rationally, anyone ought to be able to see that all things in the universe, down to the very smallest of part of parts, are always changing anyway.  And, because they're always changing, therefore, something has to exist in order to sustain the change.  Since something has to always exist, that something cannot originate from anywhere inside a universe of time and space.  That means that an eternal reality does exist.  And, because an eternal reality does exist, we also know that we all really share only one same eternal mind, whether we believe it or not. 

Because an eternal reality exists, the word "honesty" means "consistency", and consistency applies equally to all things and all people, including also all parts of all people: the words, thoughts, and actions.  It all works together, implicitly.

The story was just too much to fix from within Canada. 

He had to approach the challenge of fixing Canada from a global perspective.  He'd been in Taiwan before.

Besides, if Taiwan really believes anything is possible on planet earth, then why not work at a project to bring about a sustainable lasting worldwide peace? 

When people alike unite in the spirit of Christ, miracles are supposed to be normal and natural, right?

So the story began in Canada.  And it's been ongoing for quite some time in Taiwan

Chang Jung Christian University got pulled into the story by accident.  (Remember, there's really no such thing as an accident because every accident has a cause, and every cause had a cause.)

It's convenient that Chang University is also a Christian university.  We actually have a lot in common!

This story is based on the book A Course In Miracles.  The book itself doesn't advocate one religion above another, rather, the book teaches about the singular aspect of eternal.  For example:

§       "the Holy Spirit translates your nightmares into happy dreams" T-20.VIII.10.

§       "The Holy Spirit is the Translator of the laws of God to those who do not understand them." (T-7.II.4.)

§       "Laws must be communicated if they are to be helpful.  In effect, they must be translated for those who speak different languages.  Nevertheless, a good translator, although he must alter the form of what he translates, never changes the meaning." (T-7.II.4.)

§       "A church is where an altar is, and the presence of the altar is what makes the church holy.  A church that does not inspire love has a hidden altar that is not serving the purpose for which God intended it." (T-6.I.8.)

§       "There is no order of difficulty in miracles.  One is not 'harder' or 'bigger' than another.  They are all the same.  All expressions of love are maximal." (T-1.I.1.)

And that brings us directly to OUR problem, Chang University's and my own. 

More specifically, the problem of Chang Jung Christian University's Faculty Of Translation document file number 1090016958, and any other related documents about this story.

"陳凱惠" at Chang Jung Christian University (長榮大學) is the contact name listed in the document.

The translation from the Chang Jung's Faculty Of Translation is substantially inaccurate.

The contents of Chang Da's Faculty Of Translation file 1090016958 directly imply that Rene is trying to extort money from the owner of 13 Sesame Street (芝麻街) cram school branches, Yide Lin (林義德).

Rene is absolutely certain the translation from Chang Jung Christian University is absolutely askew because prosecutors are using the translation to support a false translation which Kidsland cram school managers submitted.

And no one believes Rene.

Rene learned that Kidsland in Tainan City accused Rene of Extortion (blackmail) when Rene received an indictment in the mail.  The indictment was in Chinese, which Rene can't read:

Rene appeared in court on 25 Sept 2019 to understand what the indictment says.

It the allegation sounds scarier than it is.  None of it is actually true.  So if you're going to read it, just remember: Rene wouldn't be sharing it if any of it was true!

On page 8 of the indictment, prosecutors list a Chinese statement which Kidsland managers claim came from Rene:

The original English sentence from Rene was:

2、「nt$250‧buys‧me‧1000‧pieces‧of‧paper‧with‧a‧QR‧code‧and‧pictures‧of‧your‧clients.」

Rene insisted that the Chinese translation doesn't mean what Rene wrote.  In fact, when the court translator spoke the prosecutor's Chinese statement back to Rene, the result was:

"You will buy from me 1000 fliers and pay me $250 each (to pay me a total of $250,000) or I will share pictures with a QR Code to your clients."

All of the words seem to be there, but there are extra words, and the words are entirely in the wrong order.  Talk about confusion.

Kidsland Sesame Street owns 13 cram schools in Taiwan, 12 in Tainan City.  Prosecutors assume the managers are competent enough in English in order to translate Rene's simple sentence.

But Kidsland managers are actually covering up a larger crime which happened at their school, and which Rene will describe at http://rene.guru in over the next few days, weeks, months, and years--as much time as it takes in order to get the problem completely, and happily, solved without causing anyone to lose any more than what they want to lose.

Everyone always has the choice to stop blaming Rene, and start working together with Rene.  That's just how the story started, and how it will continue until the goal of worldwide peace is achieved.  Worldwide peace, by the way, does also include a peaceful agreement between Taiwan and China, where China happily agrees to let Taiwan always be Taiwan, and Taiwan happily agrees that China owns Taiwan.

It's a big goal, but not impossible if we work together!  In starts with believing the goal is NOT possible.  Believing something is not possible is really only the first step in understanding how it IS possible.  The cram school managers didn't believe it was possible, and they definitely understood what Rene was saying.

After one year, Rene continued to insist that he's innocent.  Rene even went to the trouble of submitting a massive "proof" to the court to refute the whole of the criminal indictment:

It was just too much.  The document was too long.  The court never bothered to read any of it.

But three of Kidsland's senior managers intentionally lied in court, beginning in a related case, and continue to give false testimony in order to conceal a much larger crime at their school:

Blaming Rene isn't the way to fix this.

Then the court requested a psychiatrist to examine Rene.  The assessment of mental health was scheduled to occur 13 Oct 2020.

It's the psychiatrist's job to tell the court if a person is delusional, i.e. suffers from ideas about reality that aren't true. 

In this case, the court doesn't want to know anything about Canada.  The court only wants to know if Rene is misperceiving the meaning of his own English sentence because Rene insists that the cram school's translation is false!

Rene sent the court a letter explaining that it's not the psychiatrist's job to confirm whether or not prosecutors can read English:

Although Rene really wanted to attend the psychiatric assessment, Rene couldn't attend the assessment of his mental health on the grounds that the court must first evaluate whether or not Kidsland's Chinese translation is accurate.

And that's when someone from the court contacted Chang Jung Christian University.

After an entire year, one year after prosecutors began to accuse Rene of malicious extortion, intimidation, and aggravated threats based entirely on an incorrect Chinese translation, Tainan District prosecutors agreed to get a second opinion.

Someone contacted Chang Jung University.  The suggestion didn't come from Rene.  Rene was actually thinking to apply to the university as a teacher. 

From the thought of using Chang Jung's Department Of Translation to verify whether or not Kidsland provided an accurate Chinese translation, someone must have contacted 陳凱惠 to translate statements from Rene. 

The reply from Chang Jung Christian University to the Tainan District Court is dated 9 Dec 2020.  It contains Chang Jung translation file number 1090016958:

No one believed the Chinese translation from the cram school is false:

It took the court over one year to request verification of Kidsland's translation.  For example, on 22 June 2021, Rene specifically asked a professional translator:

mean that I can go to the print shop (or go somewhere--the name of the place doesn't need to be mentioned), and buy as many fliers (advertisements, pieces of paper) as long as I have enough money?

In an email at 5:40 pm on 22 June 2021, the translator replied:

Now here's the real problem:

§       On 23 June 2021, Rene learned that Sally Wu (吳宜錚) was also the original translator from Chang Jung Christian University who completed the court-requested translation in December 2020.

§       And Rene learned translations were possibly also submitted to the court in January 2021. 

Since Rene cannot read Chinese, and Rene already identified serious discrepancies in the accuracy of the very first sentence of the first set of translations which Chang Jung University submitted to the court, well, Rene is asking Chang Jung's honest help to simply stop the court from using all of the translations unless Rene can verify that all the rest of the translations are accurate.

It's a reasonable request, since he already established Chang Jung's translations are unreliable.

And it probably isn't going to feel very well to read that. 

Please don't think anything special about this.

We're posting this on the internet BECAUSE NO ONE BELIEVES RENE, and publicity ensures honesty.  The plan Rene proposes, to build a sustainable city, requires that people understand the difference between privacy rights and publicity rights. 

Just because an individual's name (or company) is described in public, it doesn't mean that the individual (or company) has a right to order the police to stop Rene from writing.

The truly Honest have no need to hide because their thinking is consistent.  Consistent means that "words" support "actions", and "all actions" support "all future thoughts".  And it means "all future thoughts" support "all past actions".  (I've added the quotes to help Google Translate).

The first translation from Chang Jung University directly supports the accusation of Extortion against Rene, that's how incorrect the translation was!

And that's what we need to work on fixing.  Either way, this one needs to be fixed.

Ideally, Chang Jung University can contact the court and withdrawal all translations from documents about Rene.

As mentioned, Rene can't read Chinese, and Rene doesn't have the time to manually try to sort out everything Chang Jung claims to have translated.

We simply are not certain the Chang Jung University translated the rest of Rene's statements accurately.  And Chang Jung's inaccurate translation has already caused Rene a lot of delay in being able to fix the bigger misunderstanding.

Calling Rene a pig, and then having everyone in your Faculty agree with the insult about Rene, doesn't mean Rene actually has a pig's head.

Please send us a copy of your request to the court to ignore all of your translations about Rene.  After we receive a copy, then we can work on what you'd like us to post here, on this page.  If you're unwilling to help us correct your mistake in the court, what choice do we have but to continue trying to correct it?

Please don't further delay this project, which is supposed to help people work together and bring about worldwide peace IN OUR LIFETIME.
